Ashley Crockett-Guido has been an educator in higher education for the past five years and a theatre artisan nationwide for over fifteen years. She is currently the Staff Props Supervisor for the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, and an adjunct instructor focusing on Props courses.

 

As a well-rounded technician and artisan, with a special interest in puppetry and special FX, she continues to bring an emphasis to health, and safety in the creation of theater.

 

Ashley is a proud member of the Society of Props Managers, USITT. She has a B.S. in Technical Theater and Design from Northwestern State University and her M.F.A. in Theatre Design & Production- Stage Properties from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music.

 

She has worked as a carpenter and props artisan for Signature Theater Company on the David Henry Hwang Series and the August Wilson Series as well as a props artisan on Tony award winning shows, Anything Goes (2011) and The Normal Heart (2011). At Actor’s Theatre of Louisville, she became the company's first female Master Carpenter. Through the Humana Festival of New American Plays contributed to the world premieres of The Christians, and The Roommate. Ashley has also worked in Corporate and Private events as a carpenter, soft goods artisan and talent assistant including New York Fashion Week and The Smithsonian Folklife Festival. 

  

Ashley spends her free time exploring new recipes, creating puppets, expanding her record collection and playing board games with her family.
